The “DATE Culture” Fostered by Masamune
21 Armors owned by the successive lords of the Sendai domain
Sets of armors owned by the successive lords of the Sendai domain. Almost all of the armors from the second lord Tadamune’s, to the thirteenth Yoshikuni’s are present. All of them are based on the “gomai-do (five-pieced cuirass)” format used in Masamune’s making them durable, easy-to-use and functional armors. Each successive lord integrated this format into a certain degree of uniformity.
